House Skjoldreen stands apart from the traditional authority of Alysium Hill, operating from the remote northern stronghold known as the Skjoldreen Bastion. Founded by Halvar, whose transformation under Calista Devine did not unfold as she had once intended, the faction developed its own philosophy of vigilance, endurance, and quiet protection.

While other houses govern the estate, cultivate influence, or advance knowledge, Skjoldreen focuses on the security of the immortal world itself. From their fortress above the northern fjords, they monitor movements beyond the reach of the council—tracking rogue immortals, emerging threats, and disturbances that could one day destabilize the balance of Alysium Hill.

Though Caius Devine openly despises Halvar’s controversial practice of sheltering reborn children within the Bastion, even the First Authority recognizes the value of the Watch. For centuries, House Skjoldreen has served as the distant eyes of the estate—silent, patient, and ever vigilant in the dark places where the other factions seldom tread.
